Healthy Snack Recipes: Cinnamon Bun Frosting

Yes you read that correctly, CINNAMON BUN FROSTING that is actually good for you. Real ingredients, real food, and tastes just like cinnamon bun frosting. What could be better than that?!

This recipe is great post-workout, or as a late-night snack that will keep you away from the cookies and chips, and still fulfill that sweet-tooth craving. The recipe contains almond butter and yogurt, both of which are slow-digesting proteins that are great to consume 30 minutes or so prior to bedtime. The protein of course is a post-workout favorite for many, and the combination of these is really amazing. I have included the best options for the ingredients at a major grocer, but if you shop at Whole Foods or another health store where you can get raw almond butter and organic protein powder and yogurt, that is the best way to go.



Healthy Cinnamon Bun Frosting

1 serving Plain Yogurt (Oikos Greek or Dannon at a major grocer, preferably whole, not reduced fat or no fat)
1-2 Tablespoons Almond Butter (Mara Natha Roasted is a cheaper alternative to raw, but raw is best)
1 serving/scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (Greenwise is a budget-friendly option at a major grocer. Anything that doesn’t have a ton of ingredients is always the healthiest route)
1 serving Cinnamon

Mix together in a bowl and have at it like you’re eating cake batter but without the guilt!
